Our Providers

Just like you, each of our providers is unique, with individual strengths, skills, and personality. What they share is a passion and commitment to helping people to heal and optimize their health. All of our acupuncturists are licensed by the State of California, which maintains the nation’s highest standards of practice. Though each provider has specialized experience, they are all able to effectively treat a wide range of conditions. Cecilia Wong Leung, L.Ac.

Cecilia is currently on leave and not accepting new patients at this time.

Cecilia specializes in pain management and dermatology.  She studied at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, and apprenticed with Master Huang Zhen Zhong, an orthopedics specialist and former chief resident at Guangzhou Chinese Medicine Hospital in China. From her apprenticeship with Master Huang, Cecilia is particularly skilled in treating pain and other neurological issues, whether from traumatic injury or chronic stress, including stroke, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, back, neck, and joint pain. Cecilia herself was born at Chinese Hospital, and feels especially honored to have the opportunity to promote the integration of Chinese and Western medicine in the community where she was born and raised.

Vickie Ho Washington, L.Ac.

Vickie specializes in pain management, mental health wellness, and digestive disorders. She studied at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, completing internships treating the elderly in a hospice environment and stroke patients in a neurological rehabilitation center. Her family has roots in San Francisco, and operates one of the oldest herb shops in Chinatown. She grew up immersed in the culture of Chinese herbs and attributes her interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine to the healing she witnessed in this environment. She is proud to apply her knowledge and skills to assist the community in healing through Chinese medicine.

Esther Chen, L.Ac.

Esther is currently on leave.

Esther is a third generation Chinese Medicine provider who specializes in pain, allergies, women’s health, fertility, pediatrics, and dermatology. She received her master’s degree from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In addition, she apprenticed and worked with Professor Qing Quan Chen, a former liver specialist at Guangzhou First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University in China. She also interned under renowned fertility and gynecology expert, Dr. Lifang Liang, where she treated patients for gynecological issues including menstrual pain and irregularity, infertility, PCOS, and IVF. She treats patients of all ages, including children and young adults.

Sabine Huey, L.Ac.

Sabine specializes in pain management and women's health. Sabine received her Master's degree from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She also studied under Dr. Richard Tan and Dr. Shoji Kobayashi achieving competency in Dr. Tan's Balance Method and Shakuju Therapy. Dr. Tan's Balance Method is well known for its efficacy in treating a wide range of pain and internal disorders. Shakuju therapy is a renowned Japanese style of acupuncture and moxibustion treatment modality focusing on treating the root cause of disease by improving life force.

Catherine Ng, L.Ac.

Catherine specializes in pain management, including acute and chronic pain, stroke, digestive disorders, and emotional stress. She graduated from Five Branches University with a Traditional Chinese Medicine Master's degree, and completed both Massage Practitioner and Qigong Practitioner Certificate Programs. Catherine strongly believes in having a healthy life style with balance of mental wellness, nutrition, and exercises. She does Meditation and Qigong exercises on a weekly basis.

Dove Yu, DACM, L.Ac., RD

Daly City Clinic Schedule: Tuesday, Friday, Saturday

Dove specializes in pain management, women’s health, allergies, anxiety and depression, digestive disorders, cancer support, and facial acupuncture. She graduated from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and holds both Master and Doctorate degrees. Her post graduate studies included Dr. Tan’s Balance Method and Master Tung’s theory to relieve pain and treat internal issues, as well as Dr. Lucas’s Mei Zen protocol for facial rejuvenation and internal conditions such as infertility, fibromyalgia, and weight reduction. Dove is also a registered dietitian and provided nutrition education at San Francisco General Hospital before switching her career path to Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Ho Man Yam, L.Ac.

Ho Man specializes in pain management, including acute and chronic pain, digestive disorders, insomnia, and emotional stress. He received his Master’s degree from Five Branches University. During his internship at Five Branches Health Center, he treated patients with various treatment methods such as Dr. Richard Tan’s Balance Method, which is well known for its effectiveness in treating pain and internal imbalance. Ho Man is a second generation Traditional Chinese Medicine provider who believes TCM plays an important role in preventative care. He is eager to apply his knowledge to help improve the overall health and quality of life of his patients.

Emily Yuen, L.Ac.

Emily specializes in pain management, dermatology, stress, digestive issues, and women’s health. She completed her Master’s degree at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Emily is also certified in Dr. Tan’s Balance Method, as well as Mei Zen protocol for facial acupuncture and weight loss. Before pursuing her career as a Traditional Chinese Medicine provider, Emily was already pursuing medicine, graduating from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, Neurology and a minor in Human Development and Nutrition.
