The Capital Campaign

The Capital Campaign

Chinese Hospital has been engaged in the largest and most important capital campaign in the Hospital’s over 100-year history – a $160 million campaign that will help build a replacement facility to meet the community’s emerging demand for critical health services long into the future.

The current hospital, which opened in 1979 to serve the healthcare needs of the Chinese in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area, has become overcrowded. The Capital Campaign will enable Chinese Hospital to enhance services, expand patient floor space, and invest in new innovative equipment throughout the hospital.

Highlights of the New Hospital

  • 100,000 Square Feet over 8 Floors
  • Expanded Emergency Treatment Center
  • Expanded Cardiopulmonary Unit & Diagnostic Imaging Department
  • 2 Additional Operating Rooms
  • 44 Private Acute Care Patient Rooms
  • 6 Intensive Care Unit Beds
  • Skilled Nursing Unit with 23 Beds
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Unit
  • Expanded Pharmacy

Chinese Hospital Needs Your Help

We need your help to rebuild and strengthen our services for you, your family, friends and neighbors and provide the highest quality of care. “You don’t have to be a doctor to save lives.” We invite you to become an investor in Chinese Hospital’s future.

The success of this project requires a partnership between Chinese Hospital and the community. The question should not be whether or not to participate, but at what level you can help to support the essential healthcare needs of our community.
