Application Process

To apply to be a volunteer, please complete all the following steps:

1. Information Session

Attend an information session to learn more about the volunteer opportunities available.

To pre-register for an upcoming information session, email the following information to ch_volunteers@chasf.org:

  • Name
  • Phone Number
  • Email Address
  • Information Session Date that you can attend
  • Department of interest
  • In email SUBJECT line: "Volunteer Information Session Registration and [Your preferred information date]"

2. Submit Forms

After the information session, prospective volunteers are invited to submit:

3. Volunteer Orientation

Once matched with a volunteer role, you will be invited to attend a volunteer orientation where you will obtain your uniform, ID badge, and other information to begin volunteering.

4. Volunteer and have fun!

Please Note: You will be notified about your application status by email or telephone within four weeks. During this time, your application will be reviewed by the Volunteer Program and Department Staff to determine whether an appropriate placement can be made. Efforts will be made to place volunteers as quickly as possible, based on their interests, skills, and availability, however placement will ultimately depend on the needs and capacity of each department. Due to the high volume of applications, your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.
