Chinese Hospital has been engaged in the largest and most important capital campaign in the Hospital’s over 100-year history – a $160 million campaign that will help build a replacement facility to meet the community’s emerging demand for critical health services long into the future.
The current hospital, which opened in 1979 serving the healthcare needs of the Chinese in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area has become overcrowded. The capital campaign will enable Chinese Hospital to enhance services, expand patient floor space and invest in new innovative equipment throughout the hospital.
Ground breaking is set for 2012. The tentative date for completion of the new hospital should be around Chinese New Year of 2015.
Highlights of the New Hospital (click to see brochure)
- Expanding the current campus space from 73,000 square feet to 141,000 square feet.
- Expanding from 54 to 76 beds (54 acute care and 22 skilled nursing)
- A new Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment

Chinese Hospital Needs Your Help

The success of this project requires a partnership between Chinese Hospital and the community. The question should not be whether or not to participate, but at what level you can help to support the essential healthcare needs of our community.
