Chinese Hospital provides language assistance services to patients with language or communication needs.
The hospital provides interpreter services 24 hours a day for patients who are limited English-speaking or non-English speaking and whose primary language is Mandarin or Cantonese. The facility utilizes Bay Area Communication Access (BACA) for the on-call availability of personnel trained in language interpretation and sign language. To the extent practicable, the hospital also provides language assistance services for other languages and devices for patients who are hearing or visually impaired.
